Meredith Salenger
Salenger grew and was raised in Malibu. She was a performer for family and friends when she was young children. Her mom took her to her first class in acting when she was just eight years old. Her first role was just a tiny part of an 'orphan who sings and dances in the film Annie produced by John Huston. Salenger has also been featured in several commercials for television. Salenger made her debut as a lead role as a lead actress in The Journey of Natty Gann, the Disney movie starring John Cusack with Ray Wise. It was the first US film to win the Gold Award at the Moscow Film Festival. The film was named "Best actor in drama" from the Youth in Film Awards, for her performance as the youthful Natty. In the following four films before she turned 18 which included A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon, she left Hollywood for Harvard to further her education.
